A group of five students from Gandhinagar Institute of Techonology spent a day with Prabhat’s children at the Danilimda Centre in Ahmedabad. Sharing their experience:
Zarna Palera
When I came here I did not have any idea of how to handle a special child or how to deal with them. Initially I was very afraid to talk to them but as I started conversing with them my fears were gone. Special children are very difficult to handle but once you extend a friendly gesture they become comfortable and open up more with you. I realized we really should care for them that is why they are called special because they need our special love, care and attention. It is good if we give them our time, it feels like we are contributing to the society and which is good feeling to have!

It was a very nice experience that we had for the entire day at Prabhat. Their smile made us realize and understand their problems which I had never had experienced. Our small problems seem so small after witnessing what they go through every day, it is beyond our understanding and imagination. I would like to once again say it was a very nice experience that I had. For me their smile has left an image on my mind. May they always be blessed and always get lots of happiness.

Today I am really very happy. Today is really very special day for me because of these students, they taught us ‘life is an adventure! Enjoy all the moments…’ This statement was really taught to us by these students. They are so sweet, they need love. Some students understand what we say and what is going to be our next step for them. They are all very kind and so humble.

It was a nice and life’s best experience I have ever had. I felt the students I met are very loving and nice. I enjoyed a lot and had great fun with them. I think they are in the form of God. It’s my pleasure to meet them. If I get another chance I will surely visit again and spend time with them. They are very understanding and learn everything. So thank you for calling us and giving us this experience.

It was a nice experience today. I am glad to have met these special children. We played games and did so many activities. All the children at Prabhat are very innocent and have cute smiles. I salute the team members and how they handle all the special children. I saw how they live their life and face so many problems. They have some facilities but there is also something missing in their life.

Really salute the team members and all the staff of Prabhat for doing a great job. The efforts of this Foundation are praiseworthy.
